Ascended Series Ep. 3
Chained
, Sequel to Fallen.
Trapped down under a predicament, a hero who has fallen is now trapped with little hope of freedom.
While the hero is trapped, they think of the moments they had before they had fallen down.
But alas, they are chained. Until when will the hero be free?
This is also the second MIDI I made in FL Studio, Im not as proficient in blacking compared to what I do in Domino, needless to say, however, this project went smoothly.
This MIDI was inspired once again by current events, my previous works, and contains references to other MIDIs by epic blackers such as The Romanticist and HDSQ.
Funny though, while I was making chain art, I realized that it looked too similar, and that it was unintentional.

The title almost says it all. I once again decided to play a huge song (MIDI file) in my Scratch MIDI Player, but it seems different than the one used in the previous Scratch MIDI Player showcase, which is here:

This MIDI Player is a modified version of a new MIDI Player based on the Aranara MIDI Player, known as AMP Lite. You can access AMP Lite, as well as other versions of my new Aranara MIDI Player here:

(This specific no lag build is based on AMP Lite V0.3.5 Fancy, with some slight alterations to the bar color.)
To achieve almost no lag, I had to create two variations of AMP Lite Fancy. The first renders only the visuals at 50% speed, hence this is not a legit run, while the second renders the audio BUT only 3 channels at a time. Thus, to render the visuals and the audio, I had to record both and it took more than 2 to 3 hours which included troubleshooting of the programs.
The audios are then merged, corrected, and stitched with the visuals using a video editor. This is the end result.
I could have gone for a Legit run, but there were significantly audible arts which constantly brought the FPS to low values... so this is the next best thing.
Oh, and, I used my old laptop for this, so I could have gotten better quality if I used my main PC which I have no access to until 2024.

I am experimenting using Github Pages to store html-converted scratch projects. Featuring widescreen Aranara MIDI Player. It still uses the core components seen in previous Aranara MIDI Players. However, since it relies on Turbowarp to make it widescreen, I cannot upload it to scratch.

Why not raw hex MIDI data? Raw hex MIDI data would have to be converted into readable text and is larger than Aranara format files, and in Scratch, smaller files = better.

Following tricks were used:
1. Notes under a certain velocity threshold/limit are muted. Unlike the previous player, this one can even play tiny notes.
2. The player will skip some audio notes if there is lag.
3. Unlike the previous player, this player can only render up to 300 voices. This is to increase compatibility for Scratch site. However in the future, I might change this by making a fork of this project that is fully Scratch-compatible.
Is this better than PFA? Still not, as it functions similar to Kiva in such a way it mutes notes for performance gain. It does triumph in polyphony in the same way as the previous player did.
This new player also uses a new and more optimized converted MIDI format. Compared to the previous player, the following MIDI events are kept:
1. Note length, tick, pitch, velocity, AND channels
2. Instrument/Program Change Events (Its finally here!)
3. Track No.
4. Tempo Information
Known Issue:
This player uses a new method of calculating NPS, but it incorrectly displays NPS when the framerate gets low (lower than 20 to be exact) so the NPS may be incorrect. A fix involves storing the NPS into a list, but that would cause lag.

Author notes: Its already December and Christmas is fast approaching, so I thought I could make this.
This may seem to resemble 12 Days of Christmas by MBMS and HDSQ.mid. They are great MIDI Blackers and please consider subscribing to them. I may have borrowed some techniques that I am probably not aware of. If its yours, then I appreciate your efforts. This is my second publish MIDI, so I hope you enjoy.

Sonic Blaster, the song of one of the most popular (and controversial) Geometry Dash Extreme Demon Levels: Sonic Wave by Cyclic. I enjoyed the song since 2017 so I thought Id try to black it. I tried to mimic MusiMastas Blacking style since he made Geometry Dash Black MIDIs before. Still, I cant resist having a MIDI with arts, so I made some arts that are not dense. These arts mimic wave trails.
Also, this is a 96 PPQ MIDI. If you guys prefer low-resolution MIDIs, let me know in the comments section below.
This is the first MIDI entirely made in FL Studio. I like to think of this as a test of me using FL Studio and the outcome was successful.
Though the quality may not be as great as the MIDIs I make with Domino, Im still learning how to make MIDIs inside FL.
Any similarities with other content are purely coincidental. I do not intend on stealing or copying other peoples content without giving credit.
