No 1080p60 or 4k120, I needed to have the best GPU performance possible today.
Gingeas made a video a long time ago about custom PFA startup songs, and I decided to do the same with tau.
it worked, but it took forever to open, since it had to load tau every time it started up.
But I noticed one thing: the performance was amazing.
it passed the crash point wayyyy faster than a normal legit run; however since the note speed is so low, the GPU performance is also low.
I don't know if this is because it didn't have to render the keyboard, Info overlay, octave lines, or what, but it sure works good.
I might try to use cheat engine or something to increase the note speed, or maybe someone who knows more about this than me can or someone that has a better GPU can.
I honestly wonder what Rappe or Poke Hydre's Performance is with this. Maybe we could have our first Tau No lag runs in PFA? idk. maybe sometime.

Decided to redo my TN2 Nolag because I wasnt happy with my older one (although its still impressive because it was recorded on a Core 2 Quad lol)
This time, I actually put some effort into the audio and video editing (although resolve gave me a large amount of issues). Hope you enjoy!
Likely about a weeks worth of time (~150 hours) were put into this video.
Apologies for the weird frame in the intro, I spent like 6 hours trying to get the first part to render without resolve crashing or random color flashes in the export. I had to edit 2 separate exports of the intro together to make it work.

The Black Bomb 2 is here, and it brings not only an end to my 2+ month absence, but over 54 million notes containing multiple sustain crashes, new and unique art, and renditions on popular songs. The team has worked hard to perfect this MIDI, and hopefully it will be completed somewhat soon.
The Black Bomb went through concept stages dating back as far as 2019, but real progress began on January 13, 2021 when a dedicated TBB2 Server (https://discord.gg/Gjj679PqDz) was created. Progress took off right away, but slowed down around Update 20 due to many members being busy with school. I recently took up the task of preparing the MIDI for a public release which involved removing parts without transitions, unfinished/unfit songs, and other things. They might be added back as time passes and transitions are created.
I have created a great deal of updates for the song. Updates U2, U6, U10, U16, U20, U24, and U25 were all edited and finalized by me. I believe the song peaked at over 70 Million notes, but a few parts contained excessively overlapped art and some songs were removed, lowering the note count.
Most questions relating to the history and details of the MIDI are welcomed in the comments, and I will attempt to answer them as I am able to.

I originally planned to no-lag this a long time ago, but the midi was too powerful and I was just lazy. So, Adrian made a nerfed version of the midi without sustains. If I would have recorded the regular version, but it would have taken much much longer to record because the un-nerfed version has over 2 million polyphony, so I decided to just do this version. This is also the 3rd attempt of recording this, because the first attempt was accidentally recorded in only 1080p, and the next version was recorded at the wrong note speed. This is the final version in 4k60.

Well this MIDI stands out to me because obviously it is good. If you need further explanation, I suggest you watch this video, or the original video listed below. it also has frickin 3 sustain crashes at the end lmfao. ofc none of them are currently passable so they all merge into one mega crash. nice. also rip channel management in the midi, but that is easily fixable.
Side note 1: I think it would be interesting to have a comparison of this midi. lmk if youre interested, it would probably be 16 or 25 way, depending on the interest level.

Recorded this video about 2 weeks ago, but only edited it yesterday. This took about 3 days to record, and another 3 days to edit and export.
The max NPS may seem large, but it was much easier than TN3 because the crash of TN3 is about 30 million notes in 0.06 seconds which roughly works out to 500 million notes per second if the crash were extended to 1 second. This one is only about 35 million notes in a full second which is much more manageable to record in a shorter amount of time.
Also, there is a small PFA glitch at the end of the song where the end notes disappear too early. This can actually be seen in the original video, so maybe this MIDI has some noteoff issue that messes PFA up.
Sorry that I have not been uploading as much, I have been trying to focus on school more lately. I am probably going to get a new motherboard later this month, and a ryzen 7 5800x after that. Hopefully I will be able to push my 2600 a bit further on the new board because it has heatsinks with VRMs, unlike my current board. I will do a bunch of legit runs on it, and about 1/2 of them will be on my 2nd channel.
