So there's a lot going on with this remix! It was an ENORMOUSLY fun one to make (as you can probably tell from the bit where I'm clapping). So let's break this down. The beauty of Toby Fox tracks from Deltarune and Undertale is that the way they are made makes them really fun to arrange. Generally speaking, after the intro there are 3 sections. This is true with Black Knife.
I actually had no idea what I wanted to do when I started making this arrangement. I wasn't sure whether I wanted it to be a more traditional orchestral cover, a hybrid epic cover, a metal cover. So in the end I just decided 'all of the above.' My favourite instrument to record for this was actually the piano. It was actually the last instrument I recorded if I recall correctly. Without the piano the cover sounded ok but the piano adds that nice final gloss over the top I feel.
I think this is my first Deltarune or Undertale cover which I made a video like this for. If you've been following the channel for a while, you'll know it's similar to the style of many of my Library of Ruina covers. I think I might do this more often if it's received well!
