On March 5th, Milwaukee was the epicenter of a fire rap battle card that left everyone on the edge of their seats. In this three-round battle, we witnessed a clash of pens between Lotta Zay from New Jersey and Da Example, one of Black Ice Cartel's longest-standing members.
Lotta Zay, known for his witty wordplay and sharp lyricism, returned to Milwaukee to show everyone how he's been writing since he was last here. Meanwhile, Da Example, a hometown hero and veteran of the rap battle scene, was not going to let his city down. Both artists brought their A-game and delivered captivating performances.
From the opening round to the final one, the crowd was locked in to the back-and-forth between these two lyricists. The tension in the room mounted with each passing verse.
