Black Belt is a classic side-scrolling beat 'em up released for the Sega Master System in 1986. Developed by Sega, it is actually a localized and modified version of the Japanese game Hokuto no Ken (Fist of the North Star). Because the license was unavailable for the international release, graphics and character names were changed—the protagonist Kenshiro became Riki, and the post-apocalyptic setting was replaced with a more generic martial arts theme.
