This video was very hard to write. The story of how I came out as atheist to my religious family. I actually wrote this last week but I wasn’t quite happy with the results so I decided to re write it. I wanted to be honest about what I was going through because the actual coming out part happened in earnest about 4 weeks ago. And at the same time I wanted to be respectful of my family. My first draft didn’t quite hit the right balance. Ultimately I decided that given my never ending pursuit of genuineness I wouldn’t be genuinely me if I didn’t speak my truth as it actually happened. So I’ll tell you how it went down. I would not recommend the same course of action. I’m just a human. And you know not to listen to everything you hear on the internet. Okay. Here it is.
