Looking around my increasingly convoluted Youtube room the other day I noticed a couple of BJFE pedal boxes stacked in the corner with a heap of other stuff. "Oh, no, I've forgotten to make demos for them..!" So I immediately made this one for the Dyna Red Distortion only to discover later that day that I had in fact made demos for both pedals (Honey Bee OD being the second one) back in April 2025. They were uploaded here but I'd completely forgotten about them. So, rather than waste a day's work, I present to you a second look at the mighty Dyna Red Distortion, a dirt box conceived by Bjorn at BJF and now being built to his specs by One Control in Japan. It's a kind of MIAB but each control is completely useable from 0 - 10 making it super versatile. Rock on.

Recently Fractal Audio users enjoyed the addition of a very accurate Supro 1965T Black Magick amp model. I believe it was given the thumbs up by Supro themselves. This morning beta firmware was released for the Axe-FX III (30.00 pb#2 beta) and it includes among many things a new Dyna-Cab addition: 1 x12 Supro Black Majik with a Jensen P12Q speaker. Ive been using this amp model on stage with an older but very capable legacy IR. This new Dyna-Cab really takes it to another level, so I thought I might as well put an entire patch together, with 8 Scenes that Id use, and put it out there to share with anyone who wants to give it a go. This is that preset. The guitar is an inexpensive Tokai DC Junior, stripped and modded by my friends Colin and Joel at @nepeanmusic. Its got a Dimarzio dog-eared Soapbar P90 in it. Originally a dirty sunburst colour, I asked Colin to respray it ..something like a salmon-pink. He did, obviously, and its one of the rudest colours in my menagerie. I often do that as its good to give to the community and kind of therapeutic for me when Im creating them. But this week the new Axe presets were released for Firmware 28.03 and this one along with a couple of more of mine are burned into it. Thats quite an honour for me considering the famous names that appear in this 384-strong bunch of presets as well. Anyway, this one, Bretts AC20 is number 130 and this little jam (mistakes and all) is the sort of thing I was thinking of when I wrote it. Its 8 Scenes and a bunch of satellite effects that you can switch in/out with each Scene. Theyre all based on the mighty but petite Morgan AC20, which is a very cool twist on the classic AC30. You can see (and hear) the Scene changes in the editor window as Im playing. Ive kept the amp block window open so you can see the various AC20 permutation changes as I go. I think my favourite bits of this patch are the panning delay which I tend to ride a fair bit, and the fuzz face model. Thanks for watching.
