When learning Arabic one of the biggest challenges is deciding between learning formal fusha Arabic or a dialect of Arabic. Its much easier to learn fusha - there are more books on it and most newspapers and radio stations broadcast in formal Arabic.
In this video we look at a short clip which contains both slang gulf dialect Arabic and formal spoken Arabic spoken by the narrator. I made this video to help highlight or introduce you to the differences between the sounds of the two styles of speaking.

How to pronounce the name Ahmad / Ahmed with Brit, Mike Still.
The Arabic letter Ha or ح is not easy to say but please dont confuse it with the KHa or خ they are two very different sounds. SOOO many people make this mistake and a common example of this is when saying the Arabic name: Ahmed. Dont call Ahmed AKHMED - its not his name. Its not the easiest name to pronounce but try saying Ah - Ha - Med ... I think its worth learning the correct way to say it. Enjoy.
