Last week Starcloud CEO Philip Johnston confirmed that they will be launching a Bitcoin mining rig in space later this year. This will be the first Bitcoin mined in space and potentially one of the most lucrative use cases for orbital datacenters. This could have huge implications to the Bitcoin network's future decentralization and resiliency. Now this has got me curious ... will SpaceX/xAI get into Bitcoin mining in space as well? Especially with the upcoming launch of XMoney? It seems like there is a lot of potential here. What do you think? Is the hype real? Will the majority of Bitcoin mining move to space??
