In this video, I go over the 2026 BISSELL Steam Shot Omni Reach Recall, including which models are affected, why the voluntary recall was issued, and what current owners should do next.
The recall was announced after reports that certain attachments could unexpectedly detach during use, allowing hot water or steam to escape and creating a serious burn hazard. If you own one of these handheld steam cleaners, it's important to check your model number and see if your unit is included.
Affected Products(sold in the U.S. & Canada) Model #s: 4155, 4155L, 4155W, 4155G, 4155D, 4155J, 4155Y, 4155P, 4171, 4171L, 4171W, 4171F, 4171B, 4171C, 4171D, 4171H, 4171J, 4171X. These models were sold from October 2024 - March 2026.
How to Participate in the recall:
1. Stop using the attachments right away.
2. Register for the recall here: recall.bissell.com/steamshot-2026
3. Throw away your original attachments(gray) and upload a photo showing them placed in the trash to receive your free replacement parts.
4. Call Customer Support for more information:
Consumers can contact BISSELL by phone: US: 1-855-417-7001 / Canada: 1-855-739-1702 from 9 A.M. to 7 P.M. ET Monday through Saturday or by email at RecallNA@bissell.com.
