Addressing comments made by Boyzie Kimba during the National Baptist Convention, Sheard responded playfully to Kimba’s joke that “whatever he claims to have, I have more of it.” Calling Kimba a close friend, Sheard joked back that while his friend may have “some” of what he has, he certainly doesn’t have “more.” He also predicted bloggers would sensationalize the exchange and criticized what he described as misleading online reporting, saying some bloggers should “get a life” and stop spreading false narratives.
Sheard concluded by reassuring COGIC members that the denomination remains strong and united despite rumors circulating online.
