BIRTHDAY PREP: Daisy’s 10th Birthday
It’s a little tradition of mine to spend a couple of hours on the day before their birthdays just trying to do my best to make it special. I usually also end up crying, because I’m a soft-arse, but that’s just what you get with me! Daisy’s birthday obviously has another level of emotion that quite hard to put into words. I can’t think about the day she was born without everything that followed. It was traumatic but beautiful and completely changed the way I view, well, everything. I’m so grateful for my beautiful daughter and I am so lucky that I get to be the one tucking her into bed at night, braiding her hair, waiting for her on the school playground, and singing along to old-school R&B with her. Ten. 10. Wow. A decade of Daisy. What a thing to celebrate.
P.S. Not all of these presents are from us - I just offer to wrap them because it makes it easier for some family members, and I don’t mind doing so! 💛
