The 8-Bit Big Band | Birdman (Pilotwings 64) ft. Zac Zinger - Smooth Jazz Big Band Version (The 8-Bit Big Band) @The8BitBigBand | Uploaded 3 years ago | Updated 14 hours ago
The sound track to the beloved N64 launch title "Pilotwings 64" is forever engrained in my brain! I've always loved it's incredible combination of funk, jazz, soul, and other great grooves and feels. I wanted to feature my friend and incredible reed player Zac Zinger on "Birdman" which is arguably one of video game music's most chill vibes to ever be composed!
I saw him perform an original composition of his on the EWI (electronic wind instrument) and knew right away I wanted to feature his playing on a tune, and this seemed like the perfect fit for the smooth sounds of the synthesizer/saxophone hybrid instrument.
Hope you enjoy!! Thanks for listening!! Be sure to like an subscribe because thats what allows us to keep rolling out new videos :)
