Following a very successful tour of Western India, some of the group joined me on a self led extension with a friend I previously met in 2017 while on fieldwork with my university. As my last visit wasn't solely bird focused, I was keen to explore some of the areas I had visited previously. We started by spending 3 days at one of the most famous birding areas in southern India.... THATTEKAD!

This short video documentary features a number of the birds, including various species endemic to the area, including: Sri-lanka Bay Owl, Sri-lanka Frogmouth, Malabar Trogon, Malabar Barbet, Malabar Parakeet and Malabar Grey Hornbill among masses of other awesome bird species.
