FearfulFerret | Bioshock Speedrun - Former World Record - 48:57 @UBFearfulFerret | Uploaded February 2014 | Updated October 2024, 3 minutes ago.
Sub-49 was my long-term goal, but I managed to beat it two and a half weeks into running this game. This game was incredibly fun to run, and I really couldn't be happier with this time.
48:57 is the time spent in-game, as opposed to in loading screens. Due to differences between different computers and consoles, loading screens have to be factored out in order to allow for an accurate comparison.
There are way too many glitches to explain, but I'll make two points - every death is intentional, and whenever I play a radio message, I'm doing so to skip dialogue or, in the case of Olympus Heights, "store" the level transition so I can teleport to Apollo Square after completing the objective in Olympus.
