Dr. Serpil Guran, Director of the Rutgers EcoComplex, discusses renewable energy resources such as solar, wind and offshore wind play an important role in mitigating climate change. Biomass also has long been considered as a renewable energy source. However, attention needs to be paid on which biomass resources may provide New Jersey needed carbon reduction and climate change mitigation benefits.
