The Stony Brook Seawolves hosted the Binghamton Bearcats for a three game series on April 30 and May 1, 2011 at Dowling College. Stony Brook's new Joe Nathan Stadium wasn't quite ready, having the finishing touches being applied for the possible opening before the end of the season. After Stony Brook took both ends of the doubleheader on Saturday (5-4 in 10 innings, and 6-0), Binghamton took the closer 4-2 behind a complete game from Bearcat sophomore Jay Lynch.
