It's Binding of Isaac without items! ...Almost. The Wafer is used for later chapters and for certain bosses/floors that were too hard, I allow a trinket. Some of the early floors also pick up trinkets before I decided to ban them too. Cards are mostly allowed. Pickups like bombs and soul hearts are allowed (and later floors start with them). Goal is to clear every single room of the floor, and then fight the boss.
This series is just as much to show off the game's content as much as my own skill, so don't take it too seriously when I cheat and start with an advantage or segment up a run. Usually that just means it was too hard for me to do normally.

![Hollow Knight: Silksong Boss [Disgraced Chef Lugoli]
Silksong is here! Training for Steel Soul, I decided to record relatively clean battles vs every boss. Rules for each are simple; no tools, crests, or skills besides the default Hunter and Silkspear, no healing, and my attacks deal half damage (via mod)
One of the main gimmicks of this fight isnt shown because of my rules, and that is the debuff that getting hit with maggot balls inflicts. It slowly saps away at your silk meter, and negates a single heal that you might do, expending the silk to dispel the debuff without restoring health. Since Im not healing anyway, this barely matters to me, and their relatively simple attack patterns make them an easy fight to knock out. ![Hollow Knight: Silksong Custom Boss [King of the Coral Kin]
Whats this, a GOOD modded boss? Sure is! In fact, one questionable phase 3 move aside (falling stalagtites) I consider this an always-on mod, Khann getting a buff is nothing Id ever complain to see given how hes one of the bigger anti climaxes of the game. Disabling the contact damage to put all the focus on his coral attacks was a very smart move, now its frantic, exciting, and deadly, without being honestly all that much harder than the other 2 main heart bearers.
This one is definitely a recommend. Hollow Knight: Silksong Custom Boss [King of the Coral Kin]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/t8s5C7Ncl6U/mqdefault.jpg)

Shes really evasive, fairly low HP for this point in the game but she makes you work for every hit. Easy problem to solve with subweapons, not so much for basic attacks. She stands as an example of a boss that gets easier as her health drops, since she adds in that nail art move that leaves her wide open.
