Over the past three financial years, the Barbados Customs and Excise Department has collected billions of dollars in revenue.

Acting Comptroller of Customs Lynette Padmore says the department collected that significant sum between 2023 and July 2026.

Ms Padmore shared the figures while addressing a church service to celebrate the department's 121st anniversary, held at Power in the Blood Assembly.

The Acting Comptroller also notes that, so far in 2026, the department has seized just under 1,000 kilogrammes of marijuana, with a street value of approximately eight million dollars, along with firearms and ammunition.
