From the beginning of her career and onward, Billie has produced content that appears extremely professional while also maintaining elements of a DIY aesthetic which is shown through her fashion and the smaller creators she works and associates
with online (mainly on Instagram). Also, I believe her first single "Ocean Eyes" went viral in a fairly organic process, and while she was definitely picked up by Interscope quickly and now has industry money, aspects of her current presentation still come off as authentic instead of artificial like most industry personas.

When I say ideal female, the concept I am getting at is trends within female figures of popular culture. Personas like Beyonce and Cardi B embody the traits I mention, but also, it is important to note that these personality traits do not seem to be gender exclusive
(popular culture values men who have them too), and there is no objectively ideal female or male.

Not trying to say that Lil Peep or XXXTentacion are currently on the level of Warhol or Basquiat, but they are massively influential figures of internet culture. Internet culture is/ is becoming popular culture and counterculture because most memes (unit of culture) that compose culture are being replicated online (instead of traditional means of media).

This DIY creative energy is shown through the SoundCloud movement because there is a strong emphasis on subverting the established means of creation through finding everything you need online and basically acting as your own label. Other modern examples with this DIY disposition are collectives like Odd Future, Brockhampton, and the Spaghetti
