Sea Cleaners crew, Billabong junior athletes and aspiring youth ambassadors from the pacific region recently took part in environmental action on Hawaii's Big Island, helping communities tackle plastic pollution gathered along their coastlines from the great pacific garbage patch.
Over 8,000 litres of marine plastics were recovered from the shores of the Hawaiian islands, with the group presenting to over 350 students across 3 different local communities. Collectively they committed 140 volunteers’ hours of support to the cause.
A huge thank you to Sea Cleaners, Hawaii Tourism and Hawaiian Airlines for the ongoing support.
