It was awesome to take Bill along on this ferry flight from Chino back to 5G at John Wayne, with a detour through the Blockhouse aerobatic practice area.
Before he became the crew chief for the M10 prototype, Bill was an avid air combat guy. He and his brother used to defend Southern California skies in a pair of ex military Marchetti 260s, and not a single MiG got past them.
Bill hadn't been upside down in a while and we used this opportunity to fix that, he was back up to speed super quick and a pleasure to have in the cockpit.
