-- In the interest of transparency, I must note that Estulin is Jewish, part of the mid-80s exodus from the USSR. The family was well off: professionals, chemists and MDs - but were allowed to leave with nothing, first to Britain, then Canada. After our interview, we learned from Daniel's father, the family's travails as Jewish emigrants who wanted to avoid Israel. As a young man in Canada, Estulin studied and taught flamenco and gravitated to Spain where he connected with one or more savvy ex-KGB agents, probably Jewish.
