A social media post with a photo of a man wearing a leather vest with a swastika on the back taken at the 2019 Posen Potato Festival's parade in Posen Michigan went viral, the poster (who will not be named in this space) accusing Bikers for Trump and festival organizers of "turning a blind eye" to "Nazis" marching (riding motorcycles, actually) in the streets.
The only problem with the poster's assertion is that, according to Bikers for Trump Mid-West Regional Coordinator Londa Gatt, Bikers for Trump did not attend the parade due to a scheduling conflict and none of their members were there in an official capacity.
A spokesman for the Posen Chamber of Commerce said that he had received complaints from "many" people that the Chamber had sanctioned the vile representations made by the swastika, and that nothing could be further from the truth. The complaints, he said, arose from false assertions made by the poster in her social media comments.
