n our continuing series looking at proflic #bikenc Twitter residents, today takes us to The Bronx to meet Lucia who has become a strong voice for better bicycling.
She says The Bronx not only lacks a healthy number of bikes lanes, but that the ones they have often do not offer good connectivity. Which is why she chose many points along the Harlem River to showcase the good and bad - and how there are many impediments from bicyclists traveling between the South Bronx and Upper Manhattan.
She took us on a tour to see:
- The High Bridge
- Randall's Island Connector
- The Grand Concourse
- The Washington Bridge (which is a special kind of narrow hell)
- Depot Road
