Mario Kart Retro Rewind was created by ZPL. It eventually will feature every track from every Mario Kart game in the series. The newest update raised the VR cap from 9999 to 30,000. The servers are now on WiiLink so no NAND is required to play online.

The best options are Dolphin emulator and WheelWizard to install Retro Rewind.
This application installs Retro Rewind, boots directly, auto updates and will display all open worldwide rooms.
