Winter is here in the holidays are upon us along with a couple extra pounds from all those holiday meals with family. Todays episode we shed weight on both our waistline and also a model aircraft in a classic flite test competition. Both Steve and Josh pick an iconic FT design to see how much weight they can trim off while not compromising strengthen flight characteristics. The goal is simple, reduce weight, there any means possible and the largest amount of weight loss wins. Peeling foam, removing parts, and smaller batteries are all on the table. At the end of the day, Josh tries to take a large flying wing and get it under the legal limit so theres no remote ID required. While Dave takes a different tactic and taking an iconic FT scout and making it the ultimate indoor flyer. At the end of the day, they both test their modify designs, and push them to the limits. Its only losing weight versus much fun and easy! These beginner, friendly designs are great ways to get into the hobby through the holidays, and also provide incredibly quick and rewarding build and flight experience. This is also modifications that anyone can do if they would like to re-create the flight characteristics you see.
