Aftermarket parts car improve performance, increase power, and just generally make vehicles more fun to drive.
But that's only part of the story.
Welcome to our latest project build—a 1987 Monte Carlo SS—where we’re setting out to prove that you can build more power, increase performance, and actually reduce emissions at the same time.
Aftermarket parts bad for the environment? We’re putting that myth to the test and invite you along for the ride! Over the course of this multi-phase Monte Carlo build, we're going transform our clean, mostly stock G-Body into a full Pro-Touring machine ready for the street, the track, and the show scene. In the process, we'll demonstrate how aftermarket parts can actually lower emissions and make vehicles more efficient.
What to Expect in This Series:
* Baseline dyno + emissions testing at the SEMA Garage (Detroit)
* Phase 1 upgrades: ignition tune-up, EFI conversion, headers
* Mid-stage performance upgrades + crate engine
* Full LS swap, drivetrain upgrades, and suspension overhaul
* Real data showing how performance mods impact emissions
The goal?
More horsepower. Better handling. Lower emissions. No compromises.
