In this experiment I generate electric ARC with a voltage of over 300v DC. The DC current is rectified directly from the 230v AC voltage taken from the domestic electrical system, thanks to a KBPC5010 rectifier bridge (the one on the bottom left connected to a heatsink).
In parallel to the circuit there are connected, in parallel, two large electrolytic capacitor (1500 MFD 400v DC)
As load I use a 2000 watt resistor. The Warning light indicates that the capacitors are charged and once the power is removed from the circuit this red light, with a 25W incandescent bulb inside, completely discharges the two electrolytic capacitors. At the end of the video the cardboard panel caught fire due to the high temperatures reached by the load resistor. Don't worry the resistor is fine and you will see it soon in other videos =)
