The start of Montana’s high school football season is less than two weeks away, and few teams will enter Week 1 with expectations as high as Missoula Big Sky.
The Eagles return a veteran roster after falling one victory short of reaching the Class AA state championship game last season. With 24 seniors, two University of Montana commits and one of the state’s most productive quarterback-receiver combinations, Big Sky is considered a preseason favorite in Class AA.
After months of preparation, coach Matt Johnson said the opening of fall practice brings renewed energy to the program.
