President Trump is touting a major expansion of his Most Favored Nation drug-pricing initiative—and the numbers are getting significant.
Just the News reports that nine additional pharmaceutical companies have reached agreements with the Trump administration to lower prescription drug prices, bringing the total to 26 manufacturers representing roughly 89% of the branded drug market.
The newest agreements reportedly cover medications used to treat serious conditions including cancer, Parkinson’s disease, hemophilia, glaucoma, macular degeneration and liver disease.
House Ways and Means Chairman Jason Smith joins John Solomon and Amanda Head to discuss the administration’s broader affordability push—from prescription drugs and energy costs to taxes and the effort to root out billions in government waste, fraud and abuse.
Smith argues that with the national debt crossing $40 trillion, Washington must pursue every available opportunity to stop taxpayer money from being wasted.
