Big Medicaid changes are coming to New Mexico! Starting Oct. 1, more than 2,300 lawfully present immigrants in the state will lose their eligibility for Medicaid. On Jan. 1, 2027, another 89,000 New Mexicans will also lose their eligibility. The New Mexico Health Care Authority encourages residents to check their mail, as notices affecting 230,000 people across the state are being sent this week.
