This is one of my go to local spots to practice some hill climbs. Avenal is very sandy soft dirt. Lots of rolling open hills with some really big climbs in the back. It rained a little the night before bringing the temp down to mid 90's. Good enough do get a morning ride in. My conditioning is so low right now. The summer of beer and whiskey has taken its toll. Need to get back on track.
