The 2026 high school football season kicked off with a massive crowd at Allen Eagle Stadium as the Allen Eagles hosted the Duncanville Panthers in NBC 5’s first Big Game Friday Game of the Week. Two of the top teams in North Texas, the state and the country faced off in a season-opening showdown that lived up to the billing. NBC 5’s Pat Doney has the action from Allen as Big Game Friday returns for another season.
