*About this show:* Union Pacific's Big Boy 4014 ran her second outing just a few months after her May 2019 debut as the largest operating steam locomotive in the world. This trip begins in the sunny south but 4014 tempted fate when she ran through Colorado in late November. Indeed, winter caught 4014 - in a near blizzard! And we caught 4014 in those near white-out conditions.
This is an exciting show we call, "Greetings from Kansas City" - even though nearly all the action is before and after KC. But, KC was her destination and she looked great on the way there and on the way back home to Cheyenne.
The exciting footage of the the massive 4-8-8-4 begins in Arkansas and Oklahoma on her way to KC. We then review her restoration and trip through the Wasatch Mountains before we arrive in Kansas City. After a rest, it's a race through Kansas and Colorado. We see action both from trackside and from the air.
