This past week, the Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4014 traveled through Hershey, The Sweetest Place On Earth, on its historic coast-to-coast journey celebrating America’s 250th anniversary.

On its route from Lebanon to Enola, Pennsylvania, the steam locomotive passed directly by ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park and Hersheypark amusement park.

As the locomotive neared the iconic smokestacks upon entering Hershey, it received a sweet greeting from the Dry Gulch Railroad—one of the few remaining amusement park railways in the United States that still operates on actual steam power—which sounded its whistle in welcome.
