Real Progress In Action | Biden's Future, Trump's VP Pick, and the State of U.S. Politics @RealProgressInAction | Uploaded July 2024 | Updated October 2024, 12 hours ago.
In this episode, Steve Grumbine, founder and CEO of Real Progressives and Real Progress in Action, discusses the pivotal moments in U.S. politics. As Donald Trump nears his vice-presidential pick between Marco Rubio and J.D. Vance, Grumbine provides insights into each potential candidate's strengths and weaknesses. Meanwhile, Joe Biden's struggle to maintain his Democratic candidacy is analyzed, with speculation on whether Kamala Harris or another candidate might emerge as the nominee. Grumbine also critiques the broader U.S. political landscape, emphasizing the lack of working-class representation and the continued dominance of capitalist interests. His analysis touches on modern monetary theory, neoliberalism, and the pressing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

What is Modern Monetary Theory?
Modern Monetary Theory is the correct understanding of Macroeconomics.
It proves the following:
1) Taxes don't fund government spending and
2) Deficit spending is good most of the time.
Simple Economics Facts:
Government deficit = Private sector surplus
Government debt = private sector savings
The constraint on government spending is the availability of real assets/resources in an economy, not the federal budget!
