We went behind the scenes of the #PortraitOfaNation Gala to talk to the artists about their portraits of the 2025 Honorees.
Their artworks will go on view later this fall as part of the “Portrait of a Nation: 2025 Honorees” exhibition, including portraits of:
– Jamie Dimon by Jason Alden
– Steven Spielberg by Kate Capshaw
– Joy Harjo by Joel Daniel Phillips
– Temple Grandin by David Lenz
Each honoree was presented with a Portrait of a Nation Award for their transformative contributions to American history and culture this past weekend. Thank you to the artists for helping us bring these newly acquired and commissioned portraits to the museum. Learn more at npg.si.edu.
