Dr Mike Dodd – Mike carries a genetic variant associated with developing hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). While regular check-ups show that his heart currently appears healthy, he requires lifelong monitoring. Mike talks about his experience of living with uncertainty and the importance of understanding and managing future risk.
Dr Hesham Aggour – Dr Hesham Aggour is a cardiologist and BHF-funded researcher at Imperial College London. He and his team are investigating how artificial intelligence could transform heart care by uncovering new insights from routine ECGs. These findings could help doctors detect heart disease earlier and better identify who may be at risk in the future.
