Vishnu Venkatram and Bhargavi Venkatram inaugurated Day 3 of INK 2023 with their soulful song-violin duet. Their performance echoed the essence of beginnings, transitions, and the eternal rhythm of existence, setting the stage for another round of inspiring talks.
About Bhargavi Venkatram:
Bhargavi Venkatram is the daughter of violinist Sri HK Venkatram and Triveni Saralaya, and received her initial training from her parents. She won the first prize in the All India Radio national level competition (Carnatic classical vocal), the Pratibhakankshi award from the Rama Seva Mandali for outstanding junior vocalist, the Kishora Prathibe prize from the Govt. of Karnataka, the ITC Sangeeth Research Academy award (2016), the Ananya-Nadajyothi puraskara (2016) and the first prize in state level concert in Shivamogga (2015). She has also performed at various music sabhaas of the country, including The Music Academy and Narada Gana Sabha, Chennai, Shanmukhananda Sabha, Mumbai, and the Banglaore Gayana Samaja.

About Vishnu Venkatram:
Vishnu Venkatram is a student of his father, violinist Sri HK Venkatram. He also learns vocal music from his mother, Smt. Triveni Venkatram. A grade 8 student, Vishnu has bagged several prizes in musical competitions, the most notable being the first prize for instrumental music in the annual competition conducted by the Bangalore Gayana Samaja held in 2017. Additionally, Vishnu is a student of Western Violin Classical Music under the guidance of Sri Proful Mandal. He holds the distinction of securing the first position nationwide in the Western Classical exam conducted by the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music, London (ABRSM).
