In Baldur's Gate 3, the Mountain Pass area has a Bluejay that has had its nest taken from some eagles. They are not happy with this. I used non-lethal attacks to knock the eagles out but then the Blue Jay arrives and finishes them off while they are all unconscious. I guess the Blue Jay has to work out some of its own dark urges.
