Battlefield 2: 1943 mod is waking up after a 6-year sleep!
This major update (V2.0) significantly enhances the gameplay!
New assets have been added, replacing the old ones and freshly extracted from the original game, Battlefield 1943, including its HUDs/UI, weapons, and vehicles!
Recently added/changed:
- Ammokit and Medkit for teamwork improvement.
- TPS view for vehicles.
- Gameplay balancing.
- Sherman M4 tank model.
- Type 97 tank model.
- New HUDs/UI.
To-do list before the release:
- Replace the Zero and Hellcat planes with the original models.
- Reanimate animations of the old version's weapons.
- Introduce bombing raids from bomber planes.
- Add bombs for planes.
- Implement DESTRUCTIBLE ENVIRONMENTS.

The Battlefield 2: BF1943 Mod is getting a big update!
BF1943 Mod V2.0 is coming!
After sleeping since 2017, now the mod is getting a big update!
Whats new in the incoming update?
Finished:
- New USA and IJN soldier models.
- New Dropped kit models.
- New Thompson model and animations.
- New M18 Recoilless models and animations.
- New M1 Garand (+M17 MKII) models and animations.
- New Type 5 (+M17 Type 97) models and animations.
- New Type 97 Grenade model and animations.
- New MKII Grenade model and animations.
- New Anti-Aircraft Bofors model.
- New sound and visual effects.
Underway/Planned:
- New HUDs and UI.
- New tweaks for weapons and vehicles for balancing.
- Scrap all old assets, replace them with the Battlefield 1943 (2009) assets.
All of the new assets are extracted from BF1943, BFBC1, and BFBC2.
New animations by me and Emao (Emzpj).
Frostbite assets extraction by me.
Im trying my best to scrap the existing assets in the mod that are borrowed from other BF2 mods and replace them with the original assets that are directly extracted/ported from the original game (XBOX Battlefield 1943).
