For most, the shmup is something which I'm sure can be seen as being run of the mill, especially on 8-bit micros. But sometimes, you get a release which shows there's plenty of tricks you can get out of it - as we'll see with Sarah Jane Avory's Soul Force, published for the C64 by Protovision.
