What is beyond "The Planet of the Humans"? On Earth Day, 2020, the film "The Planet of the Humans" by Jeff Gibbs, in friendship with Michael Moore, premiered, igniting a polarizing discussion about the direction that ethical altruists should be working towards for the future.
Richard Heinberg connects with Aaron Wissner to discuss the film, the objections to it, the root messages, and how to move the conversation forward from here. Included in the discussion are consumerism, global population, energy use and dependence, the future of industrially produced renewables, and the essence of the future, which at the deepest level, is the coming to terms with the fear of death and mortality.
