This was definitely one musical journey for the Guinness World Records, as at the time, it was the longest video game loop in history, until Echochrome II overtook it six years later with "[prime # 4507]".
Today commemorates the 25th anniversary of the deluxe edition release of the original Bejeweled. This project was in the works for months. Bejeweled 2 is one of my favorite PC games of all time, and it was my all-time favorite during my youth until Minecraft overtook it in 2012. I simply couldn't pick one song from Skaven's entire Beyond the Network suite and be done with it, so I instead decided to arrange the whole thing in FamiTracker.
As with the old record, this is now the longest piece of music I arranged in my entire career, twice as long as the Super Mario RPG ending PC-98 remix I did to close out 2024. Either way, if you were there any time in the past 25 years, thanks to you. We hope the next 25 will be smooth. That said, enjoy this gargantuan arrangement.
