Grace Hoge currently serves as Kansas Governor Laura Kelly’s press secretary and has extensive experience in both state and federal government and campaigns. As press secretary, she shapes messaging, works with local, state, and national media outlets, and travels the state with Governor Kelly to communicate to Kansans the work the governor does each day to improve their lives. Before joining the Kelly administration full-time, Grace interned in President Biden’s White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs and on Governor Kelly’s 2022 reelection campaign. Originally from Salina, Grace is active in her community by serving as a precinct committee person and on the Board of Directors for the Kansas Civic Network. She earned a degree in political science and is a proud University of Kansas alum.
Adam Steinhilber is an Assistant Solicitor General for the State of Kansas. He was previously a litigation associate in the Kansas City office of Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP. Before entering private practice, Adam clerked for Chief Judge Timothy M. Tymkovich of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and Justice Mark S. Massa of the Indiana Supreme Court. Adam earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif. He earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Kansas, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
Catherine Magaña has served as legislative liaison and policy analyst and for the Kansas Department of Transportation since 2023. She works on transportation funding and policy issues and is an agency contact for state legislators and members of the Kansas congressional delegation. She earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Kansas, where she was the Student Advisory Board Coordinator at the Dole Institute of Politics for two years.
