A few weeks ago we talked nutrition on the Matchbox Podcast and @dylanjawnson made the claim that cholesterol in your diet leads to a less-optimal cardiovascular system. If that's true, I get where he's coming from. This caught my interest so the last few weeks I've tried listening to some more research and podcasts on cholesterol intake and according to the Huberman Labs podcast and research dating all the way back to the 1960's, dietary cholesterol has no effect on your actual cholesterol levels. Interesting. As I kept listening it turns out that saturated fat does, however, have an impact on your levels of cholesterol. Anyways, I'm glad we had this conversation because it's got me excited to keep doing some more research regarding my diet and make changes where needed.
What are your thoughts regarding cholesterol and saturated fat? Do you have research to back what you're claiming? Thanks!
