Even after playing through the first handful of chapters Fortune’s Weave is shaping up to be the most ambitious Fire Emblem entry yet.

Playing through Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave means being able to enjoy a game made by the masters of their craft. Several decades into this series of turn-based tactic RPGs we might be, yet somehow, someway, developer Intelligent Systems is still managing to find all-new ways to bring added depth to this Nintendo exclusive franchise that’s operating at the peak of its power.

Well, as if it was ever in doubt, the same appears true for this next mainline instalment that swaps out Three House’s Harry Potter-like wizard school setup for a world and characters that feels far more Game of Thrones inspired. That is, if Game of Thrones saw you travel through time, frequently whip out gun gauntlets, and enabled you to recruit a team of valiant warriors with which to engage in tactical warfare.
