IMPORTANT UPDATE: Although I thought that these pens were permanent, I later discover that the pens reactivated slightly to water once dried, so I would say that these are more of an acrylic gouache marker. Arrtx have since released a permanent pastel acrylic brush marker set which I have reviewed in this video here: youtu.be/l6HNA5ThjWs
