Let's take a look at some games I thought were better on the Sega Genesis.

Episode Notes:
1. All captures from FPGA devices and real hardware.
2. Like my SNES episode I avoided direct side by side comparisons because most of these are not preferred for graphical reasons. The SNES always had more color and you don't need a side by side to realize that. Most of these are chosen because of content, music, gameplay, or some other reason.
3. I stick by the assertion that EA was better on the Genesis. There are few examples of their games I'd rather play on the SNES.
4. Pay real close attention to the shift in sound between these two machines. The SNES was almost always muffled, while the Genesis was always louder and clearer. That's a big reason many people prefer the sound on the Genesis.
5. Much of Earthworm Jim was developed with the Genesis as the lead platform.
6. All Genesis sound was not created equal. Different revisions of the hardware can have a profound effect on its quality.
7. This was a very difficult video to complete. While making it I got the flu, shingles, and the gout all in 2 weeks time. It was absolutely brutal. If you spot any mistakes feel free to point them out for a possible revision in the future.
